Hi all,

Hoping for your experience.

Looking at a Brera project car thats been off the road for 5 years. It has only one key.

The most recently attempt to start resulting in no start/crank, and both front windows down!

The car is now stuck with windows down and a start malfunction! 'Key recognition' is evident.

Anyone know if this is repairable? Is this a common failure? I seem to have read about this before sometime ago...

Does anyone know a good Brera specialist who can deal with these sorts of ball ache Alfa issues?

I fear this may become a scrap car....

Sounds like a bad connection/connection's
Try cleaning all fuse and relay terminals as if been sat a while could be corroded and they are not the most waterproof electronics.

Defective key transponder or pickup?
Battery good?
Have you plugged a code reader in yet?

if it is (and the gods are with you) it may reset itself enougth to raise the windows - leave the battery off for a couple of hours
