Perhaps if you were to say "check the spec is what you wanted" every so often rather than just banging on about imports (with the implication that they're "bad" in some way).
I mean: exactly how many Alfas are built in Britain, then?
The only person who loses out if a car's an import is the franchised dealer who doesn't get to make their cup of tea on the initial sale from new.
Given that Spiders are now out of production, what do you care anyway?

Perhaps the fact that she would take it to the dealer with a problem 2 1/2 years down the line and they tell her she hasn't got a warranty?

It's lovely, and is only nearly 10 months old, so comes with the remaining 2 and a bit years warranty. The unfortunate / fortunate whichever way you want to look at it, was too large at 8 months pregnant to fit behind the steering wheel!
I pick her up tomorrow, can't wait to be rid of my mundane focus, even if the alfa's got less power and 0-60's slower!
