I think it's 'sposed to be at 72k. But don't leave it anywhere near that long. We had out 2 litre Twinspark done at abou 48k.

Didn't use an Alfa dealer.....but my friendly local garage did it with all genuine Alfa parts for £350, and that included the 48k service too.

Twin Sparks should have the Cam belt done every 36K or 3years, cost yes £250 - 300 seems Ok.
Is the car high milage? does the Variator need doing?. I would go to a good Indepentant Alfa Garage for advice.

thanks guys, the question was for a guy in the office. Has the same motor as mine and it is just going in the the 48K service. My variator was done around 30k.

I will pass the info on, i thought i had heard it was 72K but recommended way before that.
