Hi
Can anyone tell me how easy it is to fit a starter motor ot an Alfa 156. I have been quoted some stupid prices and I am thinking of doing it myself. Is there any advice or anything I need to know before I start?

Cheers

I haven't doen one on a 156 but it isn't usually a particularly tricky job. I would imagine the V6 may have lsightly more difficult access. Which engine is it?

I'be done it and it isnt that difficult, Its easier if you remove the bottom rear engine mount first, its held on with 4 bolts and gives you far better access to the starter motor, put the front end up on axle stands, but not too high, then work from underneath between the engine and the firewall, I would take about 1-1.5 hours to do it i recon
