RE: Alfa Romeo 8C
Discussion
1st pic - it looks like an odd alpha.
2nd pic - looking along the shoulder make me think Aston.
3rd pic - Maybe a hint of elise and something else I cant quite put my finger on.
4th pic - TVR 350.
I think someone let their kid loose with a copy of autocar, a pair of scissors and some glue.

My inital thought at seeing some of the 8C pics was "350C", but bringing pics of both cars together only serves to highlight the many differences.
I can also imagine a lot of Aston in the shape, but again, this seems to go away once the pics are side-by-side.
All IMO, of course.
Since when, though, has Alfa done anything but its own unique thing? The link to the Canguro that was posted earlier shows the true roots of the shape...
Anyway, who cares? It looks gob-smackingly gorgeous, which is more than I can say for the half-baked facelift of the phase III 916 GTV...

Flippin' gorgeous.
Memo to Alfa HQ:
You denied us the Nuvola
You seem to be denying us the Brera (although there are reports that the new GTV/Spyder will be a looky-likey).
Deny us the 8C at your peril. Put it into production or I'll organise a few fellow PHer's to come and box your ears for you

The design cues from the face and tail come from a sixties Zagato-bodied Alfa, (TZ or SZ, I cannot remember which). The centre section is a little modern coupe derivative (I suspect it may be based on the Maserati 4200GT, so production may be possible!)
Having said that, the overall effect is very pretty, exactly as a sports Alfa should be. Yes Please!
PS There is NO TVR in there!
