.... have managed to get the girlfriend to move her TT on and get something a little more emotional/involving.

We tried a 147 GTA recently and she loved its looks (inside and out),and engine. Result I thought, whilst being very careful to ensure she thought it was her choice and I'd go along if she was really sure etc etc

Anyway I thought I'd post a note on the forum asking if anyone knows of a car becoming available for sale at the right price/condition in the next few months I'd be very interested (especially if it was red).

I've no idea if this is still current or if the cars exist or anything, but it looks like a good price:

It always depresses me when we have to pander to our other halves needs. We are talking about a GTA here, just buy it regardless she will have to understand.

My wife hated my Griffith 500 so I got a new wife!

Good luck with finding one.

.... asm see where you're coming from but I have a couple of other cars I class as my own.

Better to get her to spend her money on something "we both like" rather than say a beetle/mgf etc which I just wouldn't use at all

Put like that I totally agree?

Have you tried the import route with the GTA as I know the savings are less at the moment but you may be able to pick one up quicker.

I also import my Lancia's directly from Italy which has proved a very enjoyable experience as I normally arrange to pick the car up direct from the dealership in Turin and then have a great drive back to England a few days later!
