My GF managed to express the same with just 3 words....
I did, however, get it at an unbelievably reasonable price.
The funny thing was that I actually went there because they were advertising some rear lights for an AlfaSud (managed to smash one a few weeks back). Went out expecting to spend €45 but went slightly over budget....

Should be heading out to Italy in mid-July in my GTA, and it would be beyond rude not to let it have a go on the autobahn, plus I've already paid for the Swiss vignette on it this year. I'm then back to the UK in August in my Spider for its MOT. I'll PM you with suggested dates, although I know you Continentals bugger off to sunny climes for the whole summer.
Not mine yet, but probably will be this week. Went to view/drive it yesterday, and im completely bowled over. She's a 2.0 JTS with mega miles (140K) on the clock, but has had a full engine revision less then 40K ago, including a full head clean, new piston rings and a piston modification to fix high oil usage. The indy selling it has pretty much maintained the car for its entire life and now claims an oil usage of ~1:6000 miles. Also just had a new cam belt.
The GF has her doubts about the practical usability, but i figure that while the kids are young they should easily fit in the back, and its got more boot space then my 147, im just not sure how good itll be at swallowing bicycles and such...
And honestly, after years of lusting after GTVs and GTs, this is kind of a dream car to me.
Will be going back this afternoon so i can take a look at the underside and paperwork, if it all checks out, ill probably do the deal
Went to see it again today, apart from a small spot on the sill due to improper jacking, and some visible age on components, the underside was pristine. Also saw the bill for the engine rebuild 3 years back, 4300 euros
Either way, shook the mans hand and will be picking it up on saturday, im not quite there yet myself, but the more i think about it, the more i think this is an excellent car, practical enough for me, excellent state with the JTS worries taken care off, beautiful colour. It might not be the GTV ive pined for for years, but i think this car is even better
If you live in driving distance of Poole, Dorset this may be of interest to Italian car fans..... 20 July 2018

Do it.
I won’t lie. I often just disappear into the garage with a beer and sit in it
I remember Clarksons review of the 4C where he gave it 6 out of 5 and remarked about the comedy effect of driving it and how people responded to it. Well, I’ve only done 300 miles and it’s not the unassisted steering that’s a problem it’s the general publics response to it. Swerving to get a photo or basically (as today) walking into the road to get a picture!
A truly, truly amazing car.
