Hey guys! Finally back on PH! Last time I posted I had a shabby 206. A year and a half later and I've treated myself to a 2006 Alfa 147 Twin Spark 1.6. It's bloody fantastic! So much fun, very rev happy, pulls well for a 1.6 and handles like a dream. Here's a link to my longer article on Drivetribe for anyone interested!

Looks great. Will be interested to see how you find the 1.6. These could be a nice replacement for my E46 but not many 2.0 around.

Bloody hell you're brave! First Alfa is a 4c, not many can say that.

This one is a work in progress

These two are both fine, but the one on the left desperately needs paint.

Yes it does.

Pedals are too far left though!

Didn't notice the pedals are to the left. Probably because my previous Lotus was far too worse...

I find the pedals perfect, I also smile that the car has such fantastic leg space especially given I’m 6’ 4” ! Getting in and out however.....

Comedy moment at the PH Sunday Service up at JCB when I pulled up and did my usual Navy Seal style drop and roll out of the car without realising that a couple of people were stood right behind the car stunned that you need to exit the car that way! biggrin

That said, good job I’m not a woman else every exit would be greated with a Leslie Nielsen “nice beaver” comment if wearing a dress or skirt.....

Once in, there's actually more room than in my F-Type.
Even my daughter mentioned it (she's 5' 10")

Lack of high sill (like in the Exige) makes for interesting egress... (also 6'4"...)

I'd love to keep my Mito when the finance runs out but I'm pining for a Defender. I'll have to see what happens if I can keep both.

I was there yesterday. There was a brave yellow 4C Spider owner who got the car into the field (Car park C). Whether the underside rubbing strip is still present is anyone's guess!

I went in the 4C, no idea which field, but it was the public field opposite the start/finish straight. Drove straight in, drove straight out. No issues on anything grounding.

Granted, it took me 30mins of "wtf is my car" when I came back and I reckon I had about 15mins of light left to find a dark red Alfa, but then it seems most of the rest of the field were also blokes wondering where the hell did they park?!

Lovely Rosso.

My 4C goes upto Jamie P next week whilst Im out at Madrid for work. Fly back on Friday, pick her up and then a chum and I off down to Bruges, Ring and Milano for a gentle tour. I did contemplate doing the Ramparts, but I was only at the house down there in June.
Its a lovely town is Angouleme and a very French counterpoint to Goodwood!
