I was looking for a 155 to buy with my redundancy money but a Mito 155TB came up instead.

Bigger than my 145 Cloverleaf but really real world as quick as my old Punto GT or Coupe 16V turbo (in "D" mode) and a Panda 1000CL scaring 40mpg average (in "N" mode). What a great all round car. smile

One thing. I went to my local Alfa dealership to see how much a service would be.

£847+VAT

censored that! I'm doing it myself and the change from the £1,016.40 will go toward a holiday or something better.

If my GTV fails it's MOT today I'm going to have to upgrade. It's the only option.

Picking up this 75 Twinspark LE from Jamie Porter's on Friday!

Then she will join the stable alongside her more expensive sister with the gash but original wheels!

Well I now know why the Alfa dealership wanted so much to service my Mito.

It was the cars first! yikes

"8" or "08" stamped on all the parts I took off. Belts, tensioners, water pump, filters, fluids and gasket seal came to £221

I have solved a couple of issues as well. The mismatching tyres are gone. It worked out cheaper to buy a set of Team Dynamics wheels from a Fiat 500 Abarth and to stop thieves from taking the centre caps (at £80 a set they get stolen a lot apparently)...

...I got some 45mm badges. wink

Other things to do now but at least I'm semi-confident the engine isn't going to implode.

I have just rejoined the Alfa fold recently too. Love it - albeit a few things to sort to bring up to standard.

Very sharp car indeed, the wheels look great on it.

Nice car, looks like an LE as opposed to a ti though.

Well spotted. It is an LE. Hell of a lot of car for the money. Plan to get the satin mirror caps and side skirts for it at some point. Want to get the oily bits tip top first thought

Top buy LiquidKnight!

I had a Mito 155 around 09, in D-mode they are a proper laugh, seriously quick stuff! And after driving the 135hp multi-air for half a year as well, im convinced the 155 is the best pick of the lineup. It has the six speed, and the pre-MA engines have a much more agressive power build up. The MA lump started building torque lower down the rev range, but as a result didnt feel as agressive as the 155 when the turbo spooled up.

Sadly my back doesnt agree with the mito's seats, and the current family status would make a mito a rather unpractical (yes, less practical then the GT) choice, otherwise i'd be saving my pennies up for one

This was my 147. Sold it a while back and saw it the other day looking very sorry for itself. It was originally Stromboli grey and I resprayed it in the pearl white used on the fiat 500 abrath (can't remember the name)
It was a fun little car to own and I'd happily own another.

wink

In other Alfa news I'm sure you're all wondering how my 145 Cloverleaf is doing. Now I have removed an unpleasant kink in the exhaust the flat spot has all but been eradicated, but plans are afoot to do something interesting to keep up with the others next time she's on track.
