Congratulations, that looks incredible.
Thank you. It’s been well driven (86k miles) but also well looked after. It came with a box of workshop manuals, random literature, Alfa certification and tons of detailed history; 2x large ring binders full of receipts and bills etc. Last owner had it from ‘93 until now.

This arrived today. First impressions are ‘God I forgot cars used to smell and creak and bump like this’.
I find it funny/strange that I actually like the creaks when I'm in the Gtv, the little lady used to be concerned but I know what they are why and which don't need to be rectified. After driving my newer car I it feels so comfortable to get into the creaking front seat

This is mine, the only convertible I’ve ever had (or spider…). Always would have preferred the coupe, but the colour was too good to resist. Had it 4.5 years now, can’t think I’ll be selling.
EPICWhats it like to own? Do you use it much?
Any more info and pics would be great, I love these and have never spoken to an owner.
Yes it was the colour that did it for me!
It’s a one off, actually Aston Martin glacial blue. It came with an ageing PPF all over, but I took that off, and haven’t re-covered as IMO it’s better ‘naked’ and so worth the risk.
First owner was an Italian, and instead of a number/500 on the plaque, the car has a name, Elsa, which is/was his wife’s name.
I do try to use it, but the luggage space is virtually zero, so unfortunately not great for long road trips or would use more.
It’s not the best driving car in the world, and a bit harsh ride, but it’s not bad, and don’t think there’s much with more character. Must be one of the best sounding ever, and definitely the noisiest in recent years.
When it sits in garage for too long, I have thought about selling, but one drive and that’s fixed!
Plus, a look in the classifieds tells you there is nothing like it for similar money. A 458 Speciale is a tweaked 458, and costs more. This is a bespoke, carbon bodied Alfa with a Ferrari engine sounding better than it has in any Ferrari.
Had a Quadrofoglio daily for last couple of years (my second one), but that’s just gone. This is staying.
I would always have said I’d want a coupe with telephone dial wheels, but this does grow on you…
