Took delivery of this in August to replace my E92 M3, although they’re probably great cars I didn’t really fancy any of the newer shaped M3’s, plus after first clapping my eyes on the Giulia Quadrifoglio at the Pistonheads SS at Goodwood in December 2016 I couldn’t shake the thought of ownership out of my head. It’s not a daily, just a weekend/fun/holiday toy
That looks mega, like the roof box! How did the tyres fair with the track use? 🙂Rob_F said:

Thanks, roof box is ideal for a family break, saves being stuck in the daily breadwinner for a fortnight Tyres ok, slight wear to the N/S outer shoulders with Goodwood being a fast right hand circuit, but nothing excessive. I ran at normal road pressures, maybe should have adjusted them, but to be fair I’m not 100% sure on what, where, when etc. As I don’t track that often, the last time being four years ago, I just took the attitude that if they got destroyed I’d have to buy some more

Again thank you
Just so we’re clear, I’m no trackday ace or driving guru, I just like to stretch the legs of my toys so didn’t push things to the limit, the car can outperform me any day of the week.
However, I replaced the Pirelli PZ Corsa with Goodyear Eagle F1 SS early into ownership (nothing to do with the trackday) and they performed well on track, it was damp in the morning so traction was my main issue, they felt good in the corners and inspired confidence throughout the day. I replaced the front pads with a set of PFC pads from Performance Friction UK (they don’t do rears!) which held up well, there is about a half the pad material left on them, the rears have nearly gone so believe I would have destroyed the standard fronts, note I am heavy on brakes and was hitting 145mph+ along the Lavant straight so a big haul up at the end and plus I was on a full day complete with passenger. Apart from that, as she left the factory.
The YouTube clip is here if you’re interested https://youtu.be/G_j6i_vkbzk bear in mind it was my first time out in the Giulia only having had it two months and it was my passengers first ever trackday and to say she was nervous is an understatement, this was the first time she allowed me to use race mode with her on board
Thanks, AP. Wow, half a set of pads scrubbed off in one session - I'll make sure I've got some new ones on when I'm going on track!Just so we’re clear, I’m no trackday ace or driving guru, I just like to stretch the legs of my toys so didn’t push things to the limit, the car can outperform me any day of the week.

My other half has been given the 6 month all clear after cancer treatment, and as an early Christmas present, " we" have bought this, which has been her dream car for a long time...
She's incredibly excited and she properly deserves it. We pick it up in two weeks once we've sorted out some paperwork and cleared some space in the garage.

We live in the peak District, it's something will probably have to get used to, or get used to walking while it keeps cosy in the garage with my TVR..It's pristine, low mileage, one owner, every receipt from New still with it.
I think it would look better on silver wheels though, but I'm not allowed to critique it all....

FWIW, I used to get my GTV serviced at Peak Alfa: https://hope.cylex-uk.co.uk/company/peak-alfa-1658...http://www.northernalfa.com/
These guys are fabulous for Alfa servicing and repairs if you are S York's or peaks area

I'd already seen they were the local specialists, and was going to ask around about them. Peak Alfa have been mentioned in forums a few times but I wasn't sure if there still trading. These guys are fabulous for Alfa servicing and repairs if you are S York's or peaks area
The car is having the timing belt and water pump done, it's nearly due on age, but it's only done 35k. Sub frame is clean and is being waxoyl'd while the nets being done.
Bar a few tiny some chips and a faded bonnet badge, it is in immaculate condition.
The downside to ask of this is having to rearrange the garage to fit both his n hers side by side.
