Nice sound, is it mid restoration?
After restoring five Spiders, I wanted to do something different. I loved the sun burnt look of this bodyshell, so I decided to do an "outlaw". At the moment the plan is, that it will not be painted. It has Alfaholics chassis and brakes, Alfa Sei V6 with six carburettors, equal lenght headers, etc. Close to finish. Still some interior work to be done (plus speedo and tacho conversions). P.s. Here´s a video of a pan-european trip with one of my previous Spiders: https://youtu.be/eWYuc2c9mI0
I dug out a box of old photos at the weekend and started going through them. This is my 1.5 Sprint and my mate's 1.5 Sprint Veloce in action on the road to Innerleithen in the Scottish borders. Some point in the early/mid 80's.
We used have some almighty thrashes down that road - front discs glowing dull red etc.

A little while ago I saw my perfect Veloce at a dealer.
Vulcano Grey, black veloce badge, in fact back everything and the QF wheels. Looked gorgeous and they seemed to have it for a while. A pre reg.
I wondered if it was the red leather interior that was stopping people buying it.
I liked it but I was dithering and by the time I decided it was worth chucking 40k at it, it had gone.
Trouble is, it's the only combo I want now
I do like them with either the tan or red interior. Lifts it, to my eye. Rare though.
