No more questions before you have driven them both I'd say
Ive already driven the M2 and had a passanger ride in the Gulia QV. Both drives were only around 15 minutes max. The M2 did sound nice but the Gulia I was in did not have the Akropovic exhaust and sounded a little dull which I why I'd love some feedback from current owners.Edited by truekumar on Thursday 31st August 12:17

The Giulia doesn't look ugly and poor taste for a start....
Then I imagine it will be more or less just as sharp, feel slightly quicker too
Etna Rosso replaced Comp Red a couple of years ago.
Had Comp Red followed by Montreal Green, would go for Etna if was having another but Comp Red was my favourite.

I've not driven the M2 and I'm sure in some aspects its better or equal to the Giulia, but the looks would be challenging. The the Giulia wins hands down in that department.
Same for the interior, the Giulia is much nicer with real buttons, dials and a dash mounted display. The M2 looks horrid with those cheap looking stuck on panels.
However I feel the BMW interior would wear better over time.
I've driven the M3 and like many other M cars it feels very capable and sturdy, but anodyne. The Giulia is calmer but switch to dynamic or race and become a very special car.
My QV has the standard exhaust. Which is OK as I use it more for commuting and not at weekend. Drive and see which one you like the most.

Yes I think I am going to have another test drive in them both and then decide which one to go for. Have you ever had any problems with your QV and were they expensive to rectify? Any opinion on which colour would look the most special? I wont be daily driving it, so I want it to 'sound' nice, look nice and be quite fruity in its driveability too. I had looked at a 911 too but the rear seats are tiny and not enough room for growth for the kids as they get older. Im now left with the choice of either the M2 or QV and now slowly edging towards the QV.I've not driven the M2 and I'm sure in some aspects its better or equal to the Giulia, but the looks would be challenging. Re: the Akrapovich, it doesn't really change the sound all that much, it just adds a little bit of bass to the exhaust tone.
Notably, the ~MY20 and later cars will have OPFs fitted which makes them quite significantly quieter than the pre-facelift cars. I've got Fiammenghi's h-pipe fitted to my MY22 and it's now almost as loud as a pre-facelift car.

Nice, I’ll have to look into the H pipe. I would love it to sound as good as the pre-facelift, it’s a shame that the akropovic doesn’t offer much substance in regards to sound.Notably, the ~MY20 and later cars will have OPFs fitted which makes them quite significantly quieter than the pre-facelift cars. Having read your modification needs and wants I think an M2 might be more your thing. Especially if interior quality and infotainment is a big turn on.
To be honest, I’m not too bothered about the infotainment as long as I am able to use Apple car play fairly smoothly. I do like HUD though which I had in my M340i but it’s not the be all and end all. The other gimmicky crap on infotainments isn’t for me anyway. In terms of the interior quality, now that is something I do admire in the BMWs, the premium feel, fit and finish but I’ve heard the QV facelift has got better in this regard.
In terms of mods, I just feel like I’d want to add a couple of bits and pieces to the QVto make it look and feel a bit more special and different to the other general variants of the Gulia that’s all.

Etna Rosso replaced Comp Red a couple of years ago.
Had Comp Red followed by Montreal Green, would go for Etna if was having another but Comp Red was my favourite.

Priorities seem to be interior quality and infotainment he might as well get a genesis.the alfa interior is crap in comparison to the germans, everyone knows that, but most don't really care as its not what they buy the car for. Performance/segment target wise as someone has said the M2 and Quad are not in the same bracket/competing.
Apples and oranges. again.

Montreal Green is very popular now, although I think I prefer the red.
Next question then.
