Heated front screens are available - group buy?

What's a "Saleen"?
I would be very interested as my screen is kinda grit blasted, not very good for night driving or into low sun, and it's had a chip repair that is not getting any better.
I wonder what the fit would be like, and how much that would cost, also could they do a green top tint option?
Not too bothered about the heated screen because if misted, it clears very quickly with the roof off anyway.
My Leven cover gets all the frost!
Electric blanket under the Leven Hood Cover? That would be going soft.... .

Hi Mick
Think this was a Pilkington screen, remember this post way back, the screen was way off, Pilkington made some new ones which were a better fit. Just got a new screen myself (Pilkington) was a close fit but not 100 o/o, I had to sand down the bottom corners, top rebate and the side rebates to make it fit, that's ok for me as the car needs painting but for a finished car would be a problem to solve. I hope the deal comes off.

Glassfiber changes shape, it shrinks and moves over the years, never going to be the same as it left the factory.

Hi Norman,
Please can you tell us why it never came about in 2009, and who was going to manufacture them?
Cheers,
Glen
It was Uroglass Bromsgrove but I've long forgotten the name of the contact. I talked to the Chim/Griff forums as well but not enough interest . Pilkingtons were going to manufacture but they had issues and the whole thing just got shelved mainly because of the lack of commitment from people on herePlease can you tell us why it never came about in 2009, and who was going to manufacture them?
Cheers,
Glen
Good luck Norman
