Serpentine timing chain cover removal question
Discussion
Changing the cam on my 500, I have removed timing chain cover bolts (9 off) and two front sump bolts, managed to loosen the cover (mainly at the top), however there seems to be resistance to releasing and removing it completely, have I missed a trick, nothing in the Disco engine manual. I wondered whether it's just stuck on dowels or jointing compound? don't want to bludgeon it with a mallet in case I'm damaging something, can anyone advise please?

hope you mean 3 front cover to sump bolts have been removed
Theres only 2 on serps (only later p38/thors have more)??OP you need to also loosen a couple of the sump bolts behind so the sump can drop a bit.
Theres not just the bolts around the outside, sure you have removed all the central ones?
