Dos not show as live with the obvious searches - maybe it remained overseas and lapsed the number
I'm surprised at the 1970 date - SV**** is a reissue number and at that period I would have expected either a local reissue to where the app was made or maybe a DS**** which were the earliest batched reissues
I got several SV's allocated in the early 90's - then they went to BS**** and these days you get a BF****

There wasn't a Grand Prix race here in 1970 or so I thought !
It wasn't part of what we now know as F1 but ran for many years under the name of the Singapore Grand Prix run on the Upper Thomson Street Circuit.
I found this link which is interesting and gives details of the 1970 competitors once you scroll down.
No mention of the Lagonda (definitely a Singapore registration by the way) so maybe they ran supporting races.

I also found this YT clip of the 1966 Singapore GP Festival. Not great quality but if you listen from 2:00 it mentions that a Lagonda recorded the fastest speed at over 100mph.
Could well be the same car if it was a Singapore car.

ETA - I just found this which shows the actual course as it is today. I know it well from cycling the road but never realised it was such hallowed ground. Being in the
equivalent of a National Park - the majority of the circuit is completely unchanged (except for the speed humps) which for Singapore is a miracle.
The road where your photo was shot is the last bit of the video (Upper Thomson Road) which is now a 6 lane major expressway as you can see but follows the old road exactly. What you can't
really tell is that that bit is all downhill with quite a steep gradient for about 1.5 miles so cars must have been travelling pretty quickly.

A challenge.
This was taken at the Singapore grand prix in 1970 .
is it still going any information ?
I doubt there were a lot of Lagondas in Singapore in 1970 so shouldn't be too hard to nail this down. The LCC will usually have Singapore/Malaysia regd owners on file. In fact I remember a piece about a Lagonda that was campaigned in Asia in the club magazine about a year ago. This looks like an M45 but could be a Le Mans replica. This was taken at the Singapore grand prix in 1970 .

It ran in the historic class in the support race.
I actually lived in Singapore in 1970 and remember the main race and some of the support races being on the local tv .
The only motorsport I managed to see live was kart racing on the parade square at RAF Changi.
I also saw a lime green Muira p400 that year the only lambo on the island at the time.
Much impressed the 15 year old me at the time !
