Just a little game to play if your bored. You have 15K to spend on a classic car what would you get?

So here is mine. A stunning RS Mexico. cloud9

Definitely a Lotus Esprit Turbo. This one is 10K so I'd have £5000 to use on fixing it.

That's a difficult call.

If I could afford the running costs, I'd be really tempted to buy something like this:

But it we're talking about a more sensible proposition, then maybe this:

Something I've always wanted, and for £12.5k, it would be lovely for wafting about in. A 3.8 too. smile

But old cars are my love and it would be something different tomorrow. biggrin

Tried to get my Mrs. to have a look at another XJS last week, but she told me there are more important things than cars. frown

Didn't all the bank robbers prefer the 3.6 as it handled better? Lovely car though.

3.4. wink

But I'd rather have the 3.8 as it's the E-Type engine. smile

I always had a soft spot for these:
I'm the complete opposite, I never liked them. biggrin

But now, I would love a good unmolested 300/350 SL.

Started looking into them recently and this place has some beauties:

Another age thing perhaps? scratchchin

I've found a nice car, but I'm not sure if it is a 'classic'. I'd appreciate someone stating the criteria.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that, a true classic in anybody's eyes. cool

Possibly the best variant too, the 4.3.

A really well-sorted race prep'd Healey Sprite would be nice.

Or an old 911 maybe.

That's what I thought. Unfortunately I've not spent any time around TVRs (but I'm only 15 so there's time for that and I'll make sure I do) but from what I've read the 4.3 seems the best variant of, in my eyes, possibly the best TVR.

Though I wouldn't mind a T350c wink.

Before they get too expensive.

With some haggling obviously.

With £5 left over!

I was never a fan of these before, but they have started to look "classic" to me know - and the noise cloud9

I like a project so at £15K I'd more than likely buy a (just roadworthy?) Series 2 E-type. Why a series 2? They're the cheapest of course wink

If I was going to buy a classic in beautiful condition, I'd buy one of these -

Today that is ... I think I could just about raise £15K selling all my cars, I've just said that out loud my "E" might not be toooooo far away! biggrin

OH would kill me though, he loves our BGT V8  :evillaugh:
