Saab 95 estate
Discussion
Perfectly acceptable motor and increasingly cheap.
Had our 2.0T auto for nearly 2yrs, ideal family wagon, it just works. Never going to set the world on fire with handling or performance (only 150bhp in our case) but it's super comfortable for long trips, with 2 kids, massive hound and loads of stuff crammed in. Ample space for DIY stuff as well, will easily fit a door in, or 250KG of sand/cement. Tows a big trailer with little fuss as well.
Coming from a Volvo 850 T5 estate the only thing I missed was the acceleration.... surprisingly the tyres on the 9-5 last much longer

Does the 2.0t suffer from the oil sludge issue?
Not after a certain engine code/year... around 2003 I think, I looked it up when we got this one. It's a 2004 model so the sludge problem doesn't occur, apparently. Was recommended more regular oil changes than in the book by a Saab specialist, so I do oil/filter every 10K with the proper GM oil, if it was used exclusively on the motorway I'd probably stretch that by 50% or so.Had a look on Autotrader, Saab.co.uk and had a chat with the local dealer and it seems that an up to 5 years old 95 estate is quite rare. The dealer did not have any in stock and admitted that he had not seen one in some time.
Hardly any within 40 miles of me (London).
So either not many were originally bought or they are so good that people keep them?

Addresses the sludge issue somewhat I'd guess, depending on how involved you want to get. Assuming the year on that advert is correct it's pre-2004 models that potentially have the problem.
