This stuff if for the bits you dont see. You need a good etch primer under paint work.
Any more infor on what you are planning to do?

It works. Until you hit a puddle and it washes off.

Treat the rust properly - fine wire brush, then some rust conversion stuff (Krust, Rust Remedy, or best still Vactan which is available in small bottles off The Bay of E). Once that's set, cover with some black Dinitrol. That's if you want to do it properly.

when its got that puff pastry look its pretty much spent , wire brush and any paint to keep the damp off it might slow it up some, anything to keep the air /damp off it

waxoil doesnt stop/slow rusting at all , despite what they claim , might be okay on new cars but the rust keeps going under it on old stuff
