Well this day seams to have taken an age to happen but it is finally here. After wanting a TVR from when I first heard and saw them, which must have been 20 years ago I am final on my way to pick up a T350.

I remember dragging my dad to the TVR garage in Harrogate ever year we were there on holiday, and lusting over 390 SE's and V8s. For some reason it's never been quite the right time to get one and have had various lotuses over the last 5 years.

However today I am on my way from Glasgow down to south of England to pick up a spectra flair silver T350. Will try to get photos up when I see it in the flesh at the dealership. Wish me luck

I bet you're tired from not sleeping with excitement last night so enjoy the drive back but remember to take it easy especially if the weather's poor.

I can't really think of anything major, 5th before reverse, might aswell get him to show you how to check the oil if you don't know and the warm up procedure.

Most of all have fun!

From experience, be prepared to walk away if either the car or the deal is not right, even if you have travelled a long way.

Most importantly remember to take some pain killers with you... As your jaw will be aching like crazy by the time you get back to Glasgow with all the grinning you will be doing.biggrin

Heh, another T350 in Glasgow, I'll keep an eye out for you. Hope it goes well for you and you won't regret it as long it has been looked after. Co-incidentally if you do get it, the West of Scotland TVR meet is tomorrow at the Malletsheugh Inn in Newton Mearns, meeting at 12.45 for a couple of hours. Enjoy!

Good luck Euan! Your post sounds exactly like one of my first on here a few years ago. Trips to Harrogate with my Dad and the sound of a 450 SEAC starting up did it for me as well, then waiting 20+ years for the dream to come true.

You'll love every minute of it. Probably don't have to say this if you've been driving Lotus for years, but take care on the trip back home, especially any standing water on the motorway if the weather forecast is right.

Thought I would post a quick update, still not picked up the T350 yet!! Am now holed up in Dorking for the night, and just having the first beer. The plan was to bring my exige down to a specialist here for sale or return, the combination of R888 tires and heavy rain made progress slow. Then got caught it horrendous traffic at Birmingham then again on M25. So plan is to hand over exige in morning then head to head to fernhurst before lunch, and then fingers crossed a leisurely and dry drive back up tomorrow.

Egoold the meets are every third Saturday of the month at the same location. And if you register with the Yahoo group (used most for comms) you will get notice of any other things that are going on. Where abouts in Glasgow are you, I'm in the South but if you ever need any advice or chat about the motor just PM me, no probs.
