i was going to ask if there were any recommended lambo specialists in the herts/cambs area, but then i thought it might be useful to start a list of good indies....

roberto at grimaldi engineering in halstead is an expert at sorting out both vintage and modern lambos, and his only drawback is that he is pre-booked to capacity
the wait is worth the end result

... not really relevant but, Roberto was one (but not the only one!) of Colin Clarke's crew for many years before he set up on his own ...

.. actually, that should read, 'before he set up his business with Annabel' .. everybody, especially Roberto, knows that Grimaldi Engineering would be wubbish if not for her!!

be careful of indies, a certain one charged me for work that they didnt do. They did repay me the money straight away when I confronted them.

Barr-Tech is in Cambridge and I had my last minor service done there, Found them to be good, Just done the service and didnt come up with anything else than needed doing.

Think its owned by two Italian brothers and when I went there were plently of Porsche and ferrari about, I was reccomended from another Gallardo driver.

I was actually planning on going to Grimaldi but as the drive was further I went more local, I did speak to Grimaldi and apparently they did / do not have possibilities to change the egear clutch something to do with computer software not avaliable from Lamborghini, This may well now have changed as it was about a year ago. ( not sure that Barr - tech can do it either )

Finally on Barr tech when collecting the car I travelled into Cambridge train station and they sent a driver to pick me up which was appreciated.

I guess best reccomendation going forward I will use Barr tech again.

I had the same from an official Lambo service centre, on numerous occasions.

these guys are ace..... they resprayed my alpina after it got keyed, and did an awesome job....gave me a courtesy car even though i went 'non-approved', took their time, and redid the wheels which i got them to refurb after they got damaged fitting new rubber even though i said i didn;t really mind....

they are buying in lambo diagnostic software, and were working on someone's car.....cleaned the throttle bodies out beautifully....

When I had my 360 Spider the guys at SGM Sports used look after it for me, they always had a Lambo or 2 knocking around, I know they have the diagnostics for the Lambo's too, always looked after me well, were very knowledgeable & priced right, They are based in the midlands

www.sgmsportsltd.com is their website for anyone in the midlands looking for a good indie.

Brilliant gut called Terry Keys really know Lambos and Ferrari. Owns a countach and a boxer with his sons.
