Camping, Britcar And A Sunday Service?

Could this be the best PH weekend yet?

Go to bed to this
Go to bed to this
We've been telling you about the PistonHeads camping at the Britcar 24 (30/09 - 02/10) for a few weeks now and it's shaping up to be a great weekend. For some the lure of camping in a field, with other PHers, alongside 24 hours of racing (in exchange for a few quid) is not enough, but we can add to this package to make it even more appealing.

In 2010 we hosted a fantastic Sunday Service at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone and we now plan to return to do it all over again during the Britcar weekend. You can't sign up for a space at the Sunday Service just yet (patience, dear PHer) but you can book a pitch on the campsite. Once you've done that, all you need to do on the Sunday is roll out of bed and join us in a (short) convoy over to the Porsche centre for a hot breakfast and the chance to meet with 700 other PHers.

So, get signed up to join us for the PH 'under-canvas party of the year' then sign up for the PHSS (in a week or two) and have the best weekend possible. Can't say fairer than that, can we?

Camping prices are as follows

Package Type Description Cost
Duo Two nights camping at Silverstone circuit (40m2 pitch)Circuit Access for one car

Definitely be there - live an easy drive away so will probably not camp (OH needs his luxuries) but look forward to it. Hopefully bring something tasty too.

I'm there! Gonna have to sticker/gaffa up the Transit Le Mans style again. Wonder how much of the camping equipment for sale was acquired at Le Mans? wink But that's not a PH thing to do.

Son and I would love to do this, could even test out if the seats in the Maxi really do make a double bed!

But the OH had already booked a theatre trip in London for the Friday.

Are there any rules on late arrivals at the camp site? By late I am guessing it will be around 01:30 am!

Hi SC15,

We will need to just check with the event organisers that the main entrance of the circuit is open/manned at that time. As soon as we know, I will post on here.

p.s. I presume you mean Friday night?

I shall be camping the whole weekend with family, looking forward to meandering over to the service once I've watched the sunrise. Going to be a great weekend.

Yeah, a bit, but it's worth it for an hour or two as it's within the circuit.

Saves cooking your own breakfast too.
