hi all,

would you do this from date of manufacture?
could you do this from date of regstration?
are there any cosmetic tell tell clues..... such as position of third brake light?

looking at a 06 reg car, need to confirm it is my06 with internal upgrades....
thanks

Surely date of manufacture?

Pretty sure you could write a book on all your G topics started!

thanks mate....
next poster has the car i am chasing at the moment, though amari one remains on the radar, though maybe not for 100K..

did genuinely offer s am 100k on the phone on sat, guess i got lucky he wanted more and didn;t accept my offer and take a deposit.... i thought then 100k was ott, but i liked the car, and the whole process has been intensely frustrating for me too, so i thought what the hell..

£100k is top top dollar, I wouldn't.

£10k more gets you into an LP560!

If you are looking at 06/07 cars then don't pay more than £85k-90k depending on dealer/private/spec/condition.

Not sure if Lambo do it, but a lot of cars have the date of manufacture printed on the tag attached to the seat belt.

Didn't we ascertain that MY06+ cars have the brake light in the spoiler?

Don't pay more than 75k for an 06 with some variance for options imho.

From what I can see from PH adverts:

ALL 04 cars have the third brake light above the rear window.

ALL 07+ cars have the third brake light within the spoiler.

The 2006 cars are a mixture of the two. Which would lead me to believe that the ones with the brake light in the spoiler are the MY06 cars and the others are late registered MY04 cars....

i sorta came to the same conclusion, which means the jp car is a 06 plate my04.... but is it as simple as the third brake light position..... google doesn;t help, read loads of reviews....

but also, if you check out the yellow and white 07 cars jp has sold, their lights are also on the roof?!! my04 cars being registered in 07? suerly not....

simple really isn't it?
ask for VIN no and then request DOM from Lambo?

I guess another tell tell sign could be if it had lifting gear.
As that would prove it's an 06 onwards model.

... but that was an option. Not all MY06+ cars had lifting gear. I was in my MY07 car which did NOT have lift.

I thought you could just look at the chassis numbers last few digits?
5la***** = my05
6la***** = my06
The se edition was a special edition which included the my06 updates before the 06 came out.
