Any ideas of spraying old engine oil/thick grease? Smeared liberally underneath? Ideally manual thick smearing of grease in the wheelarches etc etc?
Any companies that offer cost effective treatment?
Thank you
IIRC old engine oil starts to become corrosive so it may do more harm than good. New engine oil on the other hand and the thicker the better would probably be good anywhere it can't be washed off i.e inside doors, box sections, sills etc.Any companies that offer cost effective treatment?
Thank you
I would then buy some proper stuff like Dinitrol to put under the wheel arches and lips that cant be washed off. I used some waxoil under the arches of my Impreza a couple of years back and it was gone within a week so wouldn't reccomend that.
I got my import sprayed with a oily gunk underneath, garage charged £50, 2 years laters its all still there. Seems to be doing the job.
They had tools which could spray it into the hard to get to areas, and being up on a ramp it didn't take too long. Might be worth a few phone calls to local garages.

I wouldn't do anything except leave well alone. Then get yourself a long bristled nylon scrubbing brush and go round the inside of the wheelarch lips with a hosepipe and the brush once in a while when you're washing the car.
A lot of amateur attempts at rust prevention just make it worse.
