Just released on various download sites in 720p.

Harry Andrews,Michael Caine,Trevor Howard,Kurt Jurgens,Ian McShane,Kenneth More,Laurence Olivier,Nigel Patrick,Christopher Plummer,

Robert Shaw,Michael Redgrave,Ralph Richardson,Patrick Wymark and token totty Susannah York.Looks fantastic.

I think only "The Longest Day" beats this; the cast includes John Wayne.

One of my top 100 favourites.

Filmography, cast and soundtrack superb.

Still as good now as it was in 1969 - perhaps one of those films that gets better with age?

Watched this a few weeks back as it was recorded from Film 4, what surprised me was the depth of the cast and the fact it's not a far more well known film.

It was a bit of a "trick" used by the film companies to try and pull a wider audience into these films. I think it all started with Mike Todd's 1958 film "Around the World in 80 Days".

The Great Escape too, and Kelly's Heroes. Possibly also The Magnificent Seven.

It's a shame they don't do more of these sort of films, they're always good fun since you never know which really famous person will die.
