hi guys,

i want to register my personal plate to my car it has never been registered to a car before,i baught the plate from dvla a few years ago,now i want to use the plate im not to sure what to do?
i have googled it but i have not found any help at all frown

If you want it done same day, visit your local DVLA office.

have you renewed the retention cert every 12 months, If not then you no longer own the rights Reg No, if you have then simply call or pop into the DVLA with your current tax disc and they will sort it out for you.

This. You get a year to apply it to a vehicle after you buy, after which you have to pay to keep it on retention. You can retain it from anything from a year to up to 3 years at a time.
