The time has finally come in life for me to get a man cave (i.e. a shed). Who makes decent, secure garden sheds? I'm looking for something that won't rot and will keep out thieving scrotes. Metal sheds look secure, but wood looks nicer.

Any advice?

had the same question a few years back...decided to support local and get one made up by local shed and fencing specialist. best thing was that i prepared a spec ie i got a bespoke shed and it was cheap... importantly ensure you have cover under your home contents...

After a lot of searching last year I bought one from this place:

And was really impressed with both the quality of the shed and the company. They even came and erected it for free.

The shed is top quality. I'm really pleased with it.

We have their Malvern Shed and it is fantastic. Spent ages looking at sheds as ours burnt down (long story but not my faukt) and therefore we were looking for a replacement on the insurance. The one that was burnt down was here when we bought the house and probably hand made, and we were very fussy about wanting it replace with like for like.

Our original shed had an apex roof but a door in the side rather than the end, and we needed this in the replacement so it would fit on the same base. However Leisure Buildings put the door in the end on their apex sheds.

So for us they raised the height of the shed by about a foot so the door could go in the side. The framing and cladding is made from decent sized timber too. Its been up 5 years and showing no sign of deterioration.

Yep - me too. Another vote for them.
