Afternoon all, have a single 2ft diameter by 1ft high stump to get out, only needs grinding to ground level, not inches below.. Anyone know of a reliable person that is resonable (just had a quote for £180 + vat that I politely declined)). I'm in north Kent near Rochester. Many thanks guys, Mark

You can hire stump grinders, I seem to remember it was about £100/day when I was looking a few years ago. Never got round to doing it though.

A load of mates plus plenty of beer and BBQ food can sort most problems out

Hi Mark, have PM'd you back.

Totally off topic (GULP) 20 year old tyres worry me.

(GULP again). Please someone tell me I'm wrong (for Marks sake).

I thought tyres were like crash helmets (they have a use by date)

The small self hire grinders would probably do that, but for anything bigger you are lookin at around £400 for a man with a chuffing huge stump grinder.

A bbq for your mates and an axe would be far cheaper (and more craic)
