I want to get some small garden lights just so my garden isent completely in the dark at night.

In the winter will them solar panel lights (just small ones) get enough sunlight to last all night every night or not?

I'me, solar lights ain't great. I have a few sets, but no good for lighting up the garden. As markers lights, they're ok. Unless someone knows any different, 'leccy ones all te way!

I bought two 30m strings from an offer on Groupon. They're effectively like Xmas tree lights. Little white LEDs with a solar panel half way down. I think I paid £7 per string.

Currently have them on either barn to each side of the house. One string works, the other failed quite quick. I don't feel particularly cheated for £7.

The ones with single batteries are utter rubbish, double battery ones are better in my experience.

If your sticking them in the ground get the metal ones, a few extra quid is well worth it

Solar powered lights will give you nothing more than dots in the night. They won't light up anything effectively. Useful to "light the way" down a path or something but that's pretty much it.
