LED Sidelights
Discussion
Following on from my first post, I asked if the Vantage came with LED daytime running lights. I was told they dont have DRLs, but they do have LED sidelights. I was wondering if anyone could post a picture of them in action as I cant seem to find one.
Also, where are the indicators in the front lights? I can see two projectors which I assume are Main beam and full beam, the row of LEDs which I assume are the sidelights and I cant see anywhere for indicators. Just wondering thats all.
Thanks in advance
P.S. 6 days till my test drive - not that im counting!

Hello!
You can see the sidelights here.

Also, the front indicators light up where the side lights are.

The orange front indicator LEDs are interleaved with the white front sidelights LEDs. The dealer can set your car to have DRLs but with rear sidelights on at the same time. I've had that done.
Isn't that just having the sidelights on all the time? The problem is that many people seem to have a problem turning their lights on when it is not 'perfect visibility'. This is especially so at dusk and dawn when people think they don't need their lights on to see. That may be so but being seen is a different matter.
When not driving the Aston, I am invariably on a motorcycle and spotting the difference between a gap in the oncoming traffic and a car with no lights on between 2 that do have is like playing Russian Roulette! In fact it is just as bad in the rear view mirror on a motorway. Those that just turn sidelights on rather than dipped headlights are just as bad.
I'm agnostic about lights in broad daylight but as soon as the visibility starts to fall, lights should be compulsory. Given the vast numbers that seem unable to turn on dipped headlights in such conditions, I would make headlights that come on automatically (as on my wife's Audi) compulsory and I would remove the option for sidelights altogether.
Standing by for incoming!

Some sort of lighting on the car should be compulsory.
I like the safety aspect as well as the highlighting of the car's contours.
Considering something like (not verbatim) 70% of all road accidents are caused by drivers over 75 years of age, a definition of 'perfect visibility' would also be useful here

From the front maybe.... The rear lights on don't look right during the day, so makes your sidelight method no good for me. Why pay for clear rears if you're going to have red light on inside them all the time!
I'm sure that bikes with lights on may not appeal to some. Nor indeed will the luminous suits that some bikers wear.in fact I'm sure that those guys working on the bins or on motorway maintenance would look MUCH better in orange hivis than yellow hivis
At the end of the day, Georgio, what matters is the effectiveness of the visibility aid rather than what looks right
Furthermore, sidelights on the clear rears only light up the upper section. I take your earlier point on fog lights though.
And Luna.....aka George (II)....I'm ignoring you now
