iphone 3gs internet charges

What do I have to set on my iphone settings so that I'm not charged for internet usage? I HAVE connected to my modem but what else do i have to do?

either turn off 3g data or pay for an inclusive add-on and use data.

If you turn off cellular data and 3G, you cannot be charged for data.

Because charges are so high and because I'm on wireless 95% of the time, I hardly ever use data.

But be aware that "find my iPhone" will not work if it is out of a known wifi signal
