Why was I banned?

Earlier today I posed a link to a Pat Condells website.
Other PHers have done so in the past and TBH I only found his site because of PH.
Now I have been banned from the whole NP& E for 30 days as PH considers Pat a racist.
No warnings, no request to remove it just a 30day ban for a first offence.
Pat's site is anti religion (all religions) and religion does not define a race, how is the site, therefore racist requiring a 30 day ban?
IMHO this is somewhat excessive over reaction.

Methinks the mods have reacted to reports rather than the content. Seems like a daft ban to me. The posting rules of the forum state that you agree not to post links to any site that is pornographic, violent, racist, sexist, voyeuristic or is otherwise offensive or unlawful in any way.
