As part of our ongoing update works we want to add some kitchen units and work surfaces to our long, thin utility room.

So when / who out of the retail diy sheds offer shallow depth 400mm base units and the appropriate worksurfaces.

I think your local single oil if your interested in the supply, and a beer to discuss options.

I think your best option would be to buy the units you want ,then get your fitter to cut them to the depth you require
Easy thing to do

Hi Vex. We used parkside kitchens on the west Wycombe road. I was recommended to them by a carpenter and we used them for our kitchen. Very good cost and units can be in any size you want. There is no shiny showroom, just a few samples but excellent build quality and service. I will try to find a link for you

Is that addressed to me smile? Assuming it is, I'd have to say that I am a bit busy at the moment, and will be for a little while yet. The Parkside cabinets look promising, though, or the other possibility if you don't need drawers is just to use wall units, most of which are c. 350mm deep, you should be able to find some which are around 720mm high, fit some legs and away you go. For worktops, just use standard ones and cut 210mm off the back edge, and reseal the cut face with silicone (cabinet 350mm, doors 20mm, should end up with a 20mm overhan is you use 600mm worktops).

Thanks Rex and Singlecoil. (Stupid iPhone spelling)

No rush on timings as we have other building works to plan so even two months away would be ok SC.

I'll have a look at the west Wycombe lot as well.

It only needs to be 1600mm long and then a new 600mm deep 1260 wide standard units in a lefthand dogleg at the end.

Got to fit in a washing machine, tumbler and under counter sized freeze in (freezer & tumbler currently on top of the dogleg end)

Also want a sink in there as well, plumbing is easy.

Maybe wall units would suffice as it is just a short run .

We bought 400mm wall units and the normal unit plastic feet from B&Q. Very easy to fit

I used Ikea wall units, added some legs and a plinth, cut down the work surface lengthways.
