Electric underfloor heating controller - Replacement?
Discussion
My controller unit for my underfloor heating in the bathroom has packed up (not surprising I guess as its Wickes on brand 'system').
Rather than pay £££'s to Wickes for a replacement which could WELL fail again, can I use another conbtrol unit by a different manufacture?
p.s The bathroom has central heating as well, so the control unit needn't be a room thermostat.
Cheers

Depends what you want to spend?Rather than pay £££'s to Wickes for a replacement which could WELL fail again, can I use another conbtrol unit by a different manufacture?

I have TPT44 for electric underfloor heating in bathroom:
http://www.timeguard.com/products/climate/thermola...
About £45-55 for a replacement.
However 2 things, 1) does it have a warranty? If mine was found faulty in the 3 years (plumber verified) then timeguard will replace for free. 2) I thought mine was faulty, but found out a leak under the tiles had shorted it all out and now needs replacing as part of an insurance job.
