Not long bought a house but don't have much of a clue for colour schemes. Looking to see what colours go with what I already own in terms of painting and furniture.

Currently have light oak bed, chest of drawers and bedside tables. And Dark Blue rug and curtains. But room is quite big so want to buy a 2 seat sofa to fill space.

Walls are currently magnolia with one wall a light yellow.

Any suggestions for paint colour for a repaint and a sofa colour? Don't want something to flash or ostentatious just somehing that matches and looks good as I have no clue being a man lol.

If unsure what goes together, a tip I was given years ago was to get Dulux colour chart, there are hundreds of different colours, but for each core colour there is usually a picture, this will have a few colours that a professional has put together to show off their paints. So copy find a core colour you like and copy the picture, you are then guaranteed that they will go well together.
