I have huge piles of stuff to store in the garage.

Stuff being power tools, air tools, machine tools etc and so on

I would like something decent to keep them in

The big problem being I have the worlds dampest garage/workshop as it was built by a half brain and i don't have the cash/time/space at the moment to sort it. So no wood which rules out kitchen units etc

Metal office cabinets, sturdy, damp resistant, adjustable shelving, fire resistant etc. tambour door ones allow you to put things like cars etc up closer to them, ie no door opening room.

I have these:

Mostly plastic with metal door trim. Not the sturdiest cabinets in the world, but I've got some pretty heavy stuff in mine smile

I've got a larch workbench in my not 100% damproof garage, so don't totally rule out wood.

Well there is not damp proof and then there is 1/2 inch of water on the floor

sounds like you'd be better off buying a shed and putting your stuff in there.
