(Not that my wife will let me, you understand, but after 14 years I can happily say NEVER again - and I do love her really I do. )

You and me both, mate. Ten years for me in next June.

Never again.

The Emma and Jason portfolio is excellent; good variety of viewpoint, framing and subject. I'd remove the Natalie and Gerald one as it looks very posed and lacks the impact of the other strong work.

Well when me and Mrs Beano decide where we're going to get married we'll let you know...

Not sure we'll be able to afford photographers' expenses all the way to the current possibilities (considering Dubai, US, Fiji and Herefordshire at the moment )

(Hey! I said never again - what happened there then??? )

Oh well... I only joined as another member suggested it could be a good way of promoting myself. Now that I've read the rules, I can see this is a Corporate-Orwellian kind of thing; let them bombard us with their theme-targetted ads whilst we can't say a word against them or even promote ourselves without paying, as it's ‘not fair’ on the big corporations... Oh well, I guess I'll sign out now,

"Corporate Orwellian"? I see.

Nothing of the sort. We have a simple rule whereby we request that people don't promote their own businesses.

The site is free to use and that's the price I ask people to pay. It both keeps the forums free of self-promotion and heeds the fact that the site is advertising funded and that those that pay the bills get to call the shots.

Regarding the pictures you've just posted, I'll simply say that I won't visit your workplace and put up pictures of horse shit, so I'd rather you didn't do it in mine thanks .

This forum, like all PH forums, is more about discussion and advice than a sales window. Of course if someone says 'I need a wedding photographer, can you help?' that's different: you are answering their question and can do the sales stuff off-forum. Most of us are keen, reasonably well-equipped and informed amateurs who would jump at the chance of making some pin-money from our hobby - but if we simply try to sell to each other, it's rather pointless. But if you want to contribute advice and knowledge, or personal opinions/experience, post away

Hmm... unfortunately, my personal opinion about Jessops wasn't welcome here either.

It seems it's ok to exchange views as long as they don't ‘cause offence’ to anybody, but especially any of the fee paying sponsors, who are only interested in what you guys think so that they can carry on ramming their merchandise down your throats. Meanwhile, a guy sits there all day running a black marker over any ’thought crimes’. Gee, it's really true about frogs staying in the water until they boil to death.

There, that's my opinion. Ok?

Oh, and one more thing

And I promise I'm really going ;-)

Take the time to use PH and you'll understand where I'm coming from.

PH ain't some faceless organisation pushing corporate evil at you. It's actually rather a small organisation...
