Lights, lots of lights.

I'm not going to be able to wash my car in my new garage (will be either in front of the garage or infront of the house, then drive round to the garage), but my plan is plastic tiled floors, lots of lights and plug sockets and plenty of room to open the doors wide.

I'm building a garage and would like to use one of the bays for washing/cleaning the car and looking for suggestions. A drain is he first thing that springs to mind, and one of those flush fitting scissor lifts so you can get the wheels off easily. Someone mentioned to me a tank for distilled water, apparently there is no need to chamois the car if distilled water is used?

Anyway I don't want to spend ages detailing a car, but I do want them to be kept clean, so I thought regularly foaming and jet washing them was the way to go. Professional detailers and regular car cleaners I'm all ears!
The first thing is a Chamois should never be used on your car regardless if it needs drying or not but yes distilled water is good as it won't leave white water stains if you leave them on but I'd always prefer to dry it off anyway - If you want to do it as safely as possible get a good air line with a decent attachment and you can blow most of it off - otherwise use nice soft ultra plush drying towels. Look at the UBER Drying towels on Elite Car Care.

If you have the space and the money to do it, I'd say go for the following (assuming drainage will already be catered for):

Scissor lift for wheel removal and under-chassis cleaning
Water filter for cold water feed
Hot water feed for hot water pressure washer
Hot water pressure washer
Lots of lights for dirt and swirl spotting, both above and to the sides
Shelving for 5l and 25l bottles of product (don't forget to leave clearance for the pump dispensers in the bottles)
Compressed air line
