Hi.
I'm getting married in October in the Cotswolds and am looking at options to make the weekend even more special. Any ideas where I could hire a lovely car for the weekend. Problem is I'm on a budget as the wedding is rapidly stripping me of any spare cash. I've always dreamt of having a nice car on the weekend of my wedding. I'm fully open to ideas - do I go vintage, 80's modern, sports, luxury or supercar.
I would love an Aston or something of that ilk but is an old Jag more realistic? Anybody know where I should look as anything I can find online is stupid expensive frown
Alternative, any PH owners in the area willing to drive my bride to be to the venue (approx 10-15 minute drive) in return for a small amount to cover expenses and and a whole load of karma!

It may even be better pisting in the SW regional forum if south Cotswolds.

Drop me a message. I can tell you one local company to avoid, but obviously can't name names on here. Car broke down on the way to our wedding last year and they were initially rather unpleasant about offering more than a token refund.

Ditto. I can give another one to avoid (Cotswolds based too) who left me an email a couple of days before the wedding to say their classic Aston had gone tits. I think there might have been a sort-of sorry in there somewhere. When I phoned them, they had absolutely no back up plan, not even a modern day reserve vehicle and, basically, left me completely in the lurch with 48hrs to go. Six weeks to get a refund too.
PM me if you want more details.

(In the end I had to settle for a modern Aston and got a Vanquish for the weekend. Every cloud, silver lining an' all that)

Stroud / Cirencester / Tetbury area is where I'm getting married. Please let me know any to avoid. As important as ones to go for! Cheers.

Sod the car, you have a new wife to play with.

Agreed. A car won't make your wedding day more special.

Like I said earlier, makes more sense to post this in the SW regional forum.

Good luck.

ok thanks all. Will post in the SW section when I've been registered long enough. Although I've been watching / reading posts by fellow PHers for years, only just got around to registering for the forum!

Best of luck with the wedding! There seems to be a fairly big car scene around that area (i'm just out of Stroud) so i'm sure someone will be able to help.

If all else fails i've got a 'used' 205 gti you can use!
