As the title states, what would be the most fun car for this price range. A fruity clio or add a little more for an mx-5???

Abarth 500???

Your thoughts please............

How about a Corsa VXR, a lease is £206 a month for 3 years with 3 payments upfront. 10,000 miles a year.

An Abarth 500 was closer to £300 a month on the same site.

Just had a look at Ling cars out of curiosity. Are some of their "offers" jokes / for comedy? For example they are offering a DeLorean DMC-12 Lease for £149 per month http://www.lingscars.com/DeLorean/DMC-12/1811194-2...

Well yes, technically over the term of the deal it works out at £299 per month but the OP asked about monthly rates and didn't mention initial payments. I think it still represents decent value.

And why is 9+23 = ouch? Plenty of other deals include a c.£2k initial payment so it's not toatally out of the ordinary. With a 24 month lease you aren't forced to commit to a longer term financial monthly commitment like 36 or 48 month leases, which are normally the ways manufacturers are able to get to a cheaper monthly rate.

Horses for courses though - a two year deal would work for my circumstances but maybe not others'.

I think you can lease these for even less than £200? Unless they've gone up now...

And FWIW I've used Lings in the past and the service was excellent, if a little eccentric. wink

Well, I would say the majority of deals are 3+ or 6+. 9+ seems a bit of a hit and should probably be allowed for in the overall costs when considering a short 24 month lease.

For the <£200 quote, but watch the mileage.
