Does it have Australian plates too? Nice looking motor. smile

Pristine pale yellow VW Split-Screen in Ripon this morning.
Light blue, lowered Metro on white alloys around Leeds recently too, very retro!
He keeps it in the UK and does the odd regulatory rally with it when he visits.

I doubt the owner of that 328 replica is remotely bothered if it's a poor copy or not, as long as he feels happy with it. And who would pay the daft money that originals are fetching these days?. like this one:

It always surprises me to see a pretty nice and valuable car on the back of a 'scrappers' recovery truck being taken somewhere, look at the chassis on that transit, I wonder what insurance cover he has?

People said that of Nick Mason when he bought his Ferrari 250 GTO for £35,000 in 1977! wink

The sad part is, the reaction of others who can't afford it, and how they begrudge those who can!

Scrapper? Scrapper?

Why, I oughta...

The expression you are looking for is Single Vehicle Car Transporter.

If the car being moved or recovered is insured correctly, the car is insured on the truck and is not insured by the mover. My insurance on the truck includes straightforward goods in transit cover and is limited to £25,000 but the broker said if it's more, give us a call and we'll increase it for that journey. They went a bit quiet when I asked for £200,000 cover. My client - a PHer - asked his insurance and they were the ones to say the car was covered by them.

£1 per mile, Distance no object. Just saying.
