Wednesday, Geneva airport, 1330h
So that's that done for another year then! As I type I'm in Geneva airport - right next door to the Palexpo as it happens - and digesting a typically hectic show. Plenty of other hacks about too and lots of comparing notes on who saw what and whom, inevitably prompting 'damn, how did I miss THAT!' regrets. No matter, the PH homepage is now humming with plenty of stories - collated here in our news hub page - and any gaps that need filling will be handled in due course.

I've assigned PH contributor Nick Gibbs a shopping list of Geneva freaks and weirdos (cars that is, not necessarily people like the dude rocking the business suit/flouro pink Mohawk I kept seeing yesterday) so expect a story soon. Flouro Lamborghinis, unnecessarily embellished G-Wagens and all the usual suspects from FAB, Sbarro and Mansory all present and correct. And Mr Harris will be checking in with his thoughts in due course, assuming he's not feeling to queasy after buying The World's Biggest Toblerone - see his Twitter feed (@HarrisMonkey) for more on that and some fairly punchy assessments of 'enhanced' Ferraris.

Bringing things full circle below is a video from our bike ride with Team Sky and Rapha from Monday. Blink and you'll thankfully miss any appearances by yours truly, the mighty guns of Top Gear's Ollie Marriage however getting a lingering close up. Which was pretty much my view as I shamelessly grabbed a slipstream tow back into Geneva as we failed in our attempt to catch a rapidly disappearing Henry Catchpole from Evo.

My office is just around the corner from that hotel and the P1 has been sitting there all day with the bonnet slightly open. They should have left it slammed in race mode but perhaps the valet parkers (and their insurers) would prefer it was left as it is! There's an underground parking nearby that the Hotel uses but prestige cars are often parked in front under the watchful eyes of the concierge. When they moved that Lambo earlier today I could tell by the sound instantly what it was but - I might never know that the P1 is in motion as it may be in 100% electric mode!

Looks pretty good in that colour. McLaren showing loyalyty to Jaguar, more than can be said for Hammond and his new 918 love affair and Aston being taken over by AMG.
