XXXXXX - not recommended!

Just a heads up to anyone who might be tempted to use XXXXXXX Don't. from my personal experience I booked and paid online for an appointment nearly £300 ,5 weeks ago. No one showed up, wasted a whold day of work, and the owner is impossible to track down. Had a few 2 line emails saying he had refunded my money - load of twaddle has not been done - even checked with the payment provider who said he had not. Its all remote working and bit of a front. No one to answer the phone/emails or anything else. I am now formally recovery the debt.
Hope this does not happen to anyone else!
Any other valetting companies recommended?

I have used these guys below for trade work and found them to be excellent. I think they cover most of the south

A valet for £300 ? Please tell me that's a mis type.
you should NEVER EVER pay up front for services like that, you should only pay them AFTER they have done what they were supposed to do and only when they've finished and you're happy with the end result should you pay them, not a second before.
We asked for quotes to get our drive way tarmaced, any who wanted a deposit got hung up on, this policy sorts the decent companies out from the cowboys who want nothing more than a quick buck at our expense!
Would you pay a large deposit, or all the money up front for a front end re-spray for your TVR???? I think not!

Just to say I have used Mark the Wax Wizard to valet two of my cars. He left wheel cleaner and shampoo, but wax wasn't part of the deal (I already had some). It was all unbranded stuff, but I've been using it since the last time it was Wax Wizard (i.e. before he sold the formulations to Swissol). Results were excellent, cash paid after the job was done.

He had some formulations that he had been making and selling as "Wax Wizard" wax, and sold the rights to them to Swissol, AFAIK.
Swissol made wax before then, but I guess they liked his stuff. Whether they now sell the stuff he made, or whether they used it to better their own wax, I don't know.
Swissol were the other company involved in the Zymol debacle -- IIRC Swissol actually held the European patents to the Zymol name, brand, shape of pot, etc. but Zymol USA weren't too impressed with that.
