My Wedge has turned into an old brass bed.

Squeak creak squeak goes something at the rear, over bumps and potholes.

Any suggestions as to what it can be? (I'm guessing is it just the whole thing getting really dry in the dry weather.....)

Hi mate...Could be the suspension if its as old as the car....Mine squeaks like an old pram... I can feel that it is riding on the springs as the legs feel fuggered...Especially over a bump at speed...

I believe all the suspension and bushes were done recently (before I bought it).

Mine squeaks in dry weather but with a good dose of oil around the A frame suspension joints it's ok again.

hey jumbo,
Check this thread out from a year or so ago.
i had a squeak. About 2k miles later the fuel pump packed in and it hasnt squeaked again. I never managed to pinpoint the cause but i'm assuming it wasnt coincidence.

Finally, I have fixed this little bugger!

I have been under the car many times and oiled every moving (and fixed!) part I could find, but still squeak squeak squeak....

Today, had another look, and found it was the tie bar (?) which runs from the front of the rear/n/s wheel forward. I tried everything to stop it squeaking but nothing would work. Then I got a spanner on one of the two lock nuts at the front and turned, with the intention of tightening the whole thing. However, the whole bar turned slightly.....and the squeak has gone!

Happy days!

You probably just scared the mice away with that big spanner - they'll be back! ;^)

Ziga, spor on, poly squeaks. Did anyway in my Interceptor. Rubber wears faster but has more give and less squeak!
