Thanks Rene it all stacks up apart from the chassis number and being left hand drive. There's only one original LHD Tuscan so I suspect as its UK registration plate that it's a hybrid Vixen but I'll look into it further...

Checked it out - it's a Tuscan V8 not MOT'd since 1990 so it stacks up as a 26 year old export/barn find. Not too sure if any V8's were LHD though....

Don't know, could be? I got a book here that speaks of

Tuscan V8 (24): 4 RHD, 24 LHD all built in 1967
and Tuscan V8 lwb (24): 12 each RHD and LHD, 1967 and 1968
and Tuscan V8 wide-body (21) all but two with LHD, built 1968 to 1970

some could also be build in say 1967 but then used for racing and a few years later put on the road registered
in a later year?

My good old TVR M V8 is back on the road again – with new roof (without the ugly and shape disturbing sunroof), new rear end section (with Aston Martin DBS lamps instead of huge TR 6 units), new glued-in heated windscreen .. and the necessary paint job of course

Thank you for your comments. The sunroof is already sold to a friend with a Taimar. Find here some pics from inside the car.

Well spotted. A variation of the Bulova I'm going to use but not on a TVR

In my case it´s the good old british brand "Smith" indeed. I like to use it in my TVR since the first restoration of the car finished in 1999. I do not know a better place for it at all.

Well, it took nearly 2 weeks to peruse and there lots of sweet TVR's out there! Thanks for posting so many Rene! I noticed a few pics I had taken in the past, but since I'd rather the history be out there instead of making a profit from it, I don't mind most of my pics being passed along.. Here's a Couple I snapped in my backyard years back...

Hope to get around to adding others..

Bill,

Do you have any history / details of the first owner(s) of your Grantura. I see from the online registry it is chassis number 7/f/169. Do you know if it was rebodied with a Mk2 shaped body or if the chassis number is just TVR peculiarity.

Thanks
