underfloor heating / tile warming manufacturers
Discussion
Hi all,
Just doing up our main bathroom, thread on here, and realised I need to fairly quickly purchase the underfloor heating now we've decided on tiles for the floor.
I was looking at WarmUp or ComfortZone from my tile shop or plumbing shop... It will only be used as secondary heating. Any other suggestions to manufacturers / retailers or are they all the same?
Thanks, as ever.

Our ensuite has warmup with the digital controller. It has been faultless for all 10 of the years it has been in place. You just set the timer like any other heating timer, you can programme different times for different days.
Along with a heated towel rail connected to the central heating the ensuite is never cold and its a 10' x 12' room.

Warm Up is a know good brand, and their thermostat controllers look pretty cool if its on show.
We mainly use Bush Nelson (BH Thermic) matting supplied via TLC direct, as it is more economic to buy.
Unless you are siting the controller in the bathroom, ensure the controller is operated by the temp probe only.

I used an Ambient kit - http://www.ambient-ufh.co.uk/
Very good customer service when I had to change my order, returning one I ordered my mistake and replacing with another.

cheers chaps ill have another look around. The stat will be on show as I need to add a plethora of switches outside the bathroom anyway. It doesn't need to be fancy though - in fact plain white is fine!
I was going to install 6mm Dukkaboard under the heating (onto floorboards/joists that are very solid) - hopefully this is OK

Re: timer. I just leave the thermostat set at 21 deg with the system in manual. I switch it on in October and switch it off in march. Usually when the clocks move....
thanks that I was hoping to do too! I have got a 7 day programmer as a free upgrade but presume its not worth having go off/on and its better to leave it set 24/7. We'll see, kit arrives today.
