Rear adjsuters

Hey all
Any tips to free/remove the rear toe adjusters.
Ive removed the nut and have a new wishbone adjuster to fit

But it seems the old one is stuck in place and i can't really see an easy way to sort this out? Need to get it all free for the Geo setup.
Do you normally just remove the nut and then wind out the adjuster?

Big vice, lots of heat and a huge spanner!

When my old car was done some years ago, the weather was minus 5 and the mechanic was down to his T shirt with the garage door open loosening the adjusters.

Plenty of heat and a vice as suggested is a great help, make sure you use some anti seize compound on the new ones too.

if spanner doesn't work then pop a pipe wrench on it. Will damage threads but you'll just want it out at that stage.

It's what I did, it wouldn't budge after gas plus, heat etc.

so take the whole wishbone off and do it in the vice. can you get the adjusters and all components new? as it sounds like i might knacker the old one getting it off so might just buy it all new

yeah - toe adjuster http://tvr-parts.com/tvr-parts/part-details/tvr-d0...

The adjuster (not the t-piece) is a cheap part ~£5 and if you've got the nut off the t-piece the adjuster can be sacrificed, push come to shove, but it may come out with other methods as above

Or leave it to Mat to do. Yes, he will charge you, but he is pretty expert at shifting them.

I did think about that but as I'm not going for a couple of weeks i'll have a go. I like to do as much as I can on it
Sometimes I prefer working on cars to driving them. Strange...

Saturday morning i'm going to clay bar, cut, polish and seal the paintwork finally. Been meaning to do it for about a year when I bought the orbital and all the crap to go with it. Should be a good few hours worth of messing about to see if I can get rid of the cobweb type scratches.
Oh then i've got to take some foam out of the seats, fix the reverse light, seal up cable holes in engine bay, take out door locks, etc etc Bloody list keeps getting bigger. Although it could be worse, could be at your stage of the build
