Hi all, since the lawn thread has got me out in the garden I would like a patio area from the conservatory, this will be L shaped along the front and down the side, It will be about 30m2 in total.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to do this work so was wondering if anyone could give me a guesstimate of cost for a patio this size.

The current area a grass and reasonably level, access is slightly limited as you have to go through the shed, thus has double doors on the front but a single door at the back that it wide enough for a wheel Barrow.

I will be getting some proper quotes in the next few weeks but was just after a ball park figure.

Thanks

Maybe £100 per square metre plus a bit for the access problems.

I would charge about £70 a metre including basic 450mmX450mm flags. That's in North Wales, though. Where are you ?

Thanks for the info, I'm in Northamptonshire.

Probably going to go for something like the ones made up of different size slabs, not sure what they are called.

We've had quotes from £2800 to £4500 for 33sqm in Milton Keynes but that includes the removal of a 15 sqm conservatory first.

Ended up paying £5500 but that also includes replacing the side and front paving too seeing as most of it is uneven now. They start work on Tuesday.

I won't post names on here but got one quote from a company based in Northampton who got to the end of the discussion and then said "Of course there is then VAT. Pay part cash, part cheque or you can pay the extra if you want to pay all cheque". He's not getting anything.
