Hiya

We have just moved into our dream house, however, bathroom needs re doing completely. We had a new bathroom installed less than two years ago in our old house before we moved, but as part of a loft conversion. The current bathroom space is smaller, and we hope to re use existing white goods. Can someone tell me that on my budget of up to 2k, and at a squeeze 2.5k, this is possible. ( Pics below ).

All we need is:

-Rip down existing tiles
-Rip up existing flooring
-Re tile half way up ( we will paint above that )
-Re lay flooring tiles
-Re install white goods / bath panel or supply new ( happy to go either way )
-Include STORAGE solutions which is what we need more than anything.

+ Re hinge our door so it opens outwards- as that to me is an obvious help.

It possible right? I have a couple of local traders nodding at the prospect and in the process of quoting, but anything like Bathstore, B and Q or elsewhere seem to want nothing less than 6k.

We don't want something that will make you drop your load on entry, just clean, crisp and minature plus storage. Tiles being the most important!

Thanks

Existing space:

Thought I would break my cherry here - you're welcome.

I think you have an option you haven't really mentioned that would really impact what you have got at the moment. If it was my bathroom I wouldn't do the 2k job, I would get new flooring, add some new taps and shower head... sort out the boiler cupboard with some storage. Then once you've settled, you can plan a new bathroom properly. Just do a really thorough tidy and voila.

Why not have a go yourself? Just take your time, plenty of online resources to show you how. Have a look at diynot as an example.

Certainly not! No time at all and desperate need for practicality and storage, hence why we have just moved. This is the worst room in the house, we knew the bathroom wasn't great but it hasnt even got a shavers point!

yeah could be right about just a tart up...
