I'm always needing a glue for some reason around the house, and I normally stick to 2 types. Araldite for strength and superglue for speed.
But is there something inbetween? I've alway found araldite to be a bit rubbery when set, I like the way superglue sets like concrete, but unless you're using it thinly it takes an age to go off and there's not an instant grab.
Any recommendations? Ideally there'd be a quick setting superglue which had a gloopy texture. I've even tried Gorilla Superglue, but it's no different to the normal superglue really.

Araldite a bit rubbery? I can't say about the 'rapid' version, but if you are getting 'rubbery' from the proper stuff then something is going wrong somewhere.
If you need something to stay stuck, and especially if gap filling is needed, then standard Araldite is good stuff. Make sure it's 50/50, warm the tubes with a hairdryer before dispensing, and warm the adhesive after mixing until it goes runny and transparent, and it will set hard and strong.
